Through my training administrators, teachers, students, etc. will gain;

1) A decrease in discipline occurrences
2) A increase in academic performances
3) A positive classroom environment
and much, much more...

I will present strategies that are doable that both the teacher and students can accomplish in the classroom.

I am available to do breakout sessions at your school conferences, seminars, teacher meets, etc.

Helpful Information for Women in Higher Education

Hostile Environment for Women Professors

From its early start, the idea of coeducation has had its differences. Women overcame their struggles of attending coeducational courses which were designed primarily for the feminine gender at Oberlin College. What later prevailed was a model of mixed classes for which both men and women could study a curriculum that was earlier only for men. Alarmingly, the earlier models of mixed classes were instructed entirely  by men teachers.

One would think that 50 percent of women constituting the student body globally, that they would show a greater number in the professoriate population. Not so , males continue to take a lead in this arena. This is unlikely to change  in the very near future. As a matter of fact, a mathematician at Zurich University has calculated that at its current rate, it will take 11,406 years before women make up half of the institution's professorial staff. Encouraging news from Harvard University predicts that it will take only 40 years to show parity.

Even statewide progress is quite slow. Findings from a detailed analysis survey revealed the percentage of growth as follows:

1988 - Women constituted 17 percent of the total professoriates and 8 percent of full professors
1995 - A later figure stood at 10 percent for Yale and Michigan universities, 11 percent for Harvard, 12 percent for Princeton and the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and 13 percent for Sanford, Brown, and Columbia.

The above excerpt comes from my book titled Diverse Issues Of Women Professoriates (p. 34-35).

Marlene's Ministry Corner - A New Year a New Beginning - 2014

Marlene's Ministry Corner

We have reached the end of 2013 and will in a few hours embark upon a new year (2014). What does the new year have to offer for us? Ahh! - a new years resolution is definitely what we need to do. Most times we focus on our body image to make that new change in life due to the extra pounds we might have gained over the year. It could be that we want to begin a new relationship with a significant other or we search for a new position because we disagreed with our supervisor. Have you stopped to think of a new and better method that encompasses all the above things mentioned and will meet all your desires in one package? The answer is JESUS!

How do we accomplish this you may ask? Simple! Do what Jesus ask you to do... Follow the ten commandments, live a righteous life, render all your words of praise, prayers, and supplications to Christ who gave you salvation.

Jesus said:
" For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

A new year a new beginning with God's Son, Jesus. He is the way, the truth, and the light! He is all that we need to have complete freedom and to escape the everyday problems we encounter in the world either self imposed or vicariously imposed by others. God's Son, Jesus, give him a chance to set you free from all your cares.
